Let’s refresh the activities organized by the council in the last 6 months!!
Induction Program for Emergency Medicine Doctors
Induction Program was held successfully on 21st Jan 2026 at the A&E Training Centre, Tang Shiu Kin Hospital Community Ambulatory Care Centre. There were 32 students who were newcomers from different Emergency Departments. A “Certificate of Thanks” was presented to Mr. Kung Chak Man, Andy for his tremendous support to the Induction Program all along.
ERBTLS 3rd Course
The 3rd Emergency Rescue Trauma Life Support (ERTLS) Course for Civil Aid Service (CAS) has been taken place on 11th and 17th March 2026 at CAS Head Quarter.
FEEM Preparatory Course 2026
The Final Examination for Emergency Medicine Preparatory Course 2026 included two half-day Webinar on 10th to 11th February and one full-day Mock VIVA Session on 24th February at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. The course aims to equip the students with knowledge and examination skills to excel in the FEEM. There was total 34 participants.
HKSEMS 100th Council Meeting and Spring Reception 2026
The Council had its 100th Council Meeting at the Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, Wan Chai Premise, The Hong Kong Medical Association on 25th March 2026. Council members also took this chance to gather for the Spring Reception and celebrate the birthday of some council members.
MMMC 2026
Multi-specialty Medical Mega Conference (MMMC) was held on 6th-7th June 2026 in a hybrid format at Cordis Hotel. Dr. Cheung Chi Kin Arthur (Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine, HKU) represented Emergency Medicine to give a talk discussing the challenges and future innovations in “Patient Transport Services in Private Hospitals” under the session “Beyond ICU: Critical Care Continuum in Emergency and Transport Medicine”.
International Symposium on Emergency Response and Aeromedicine Services
HKSEMS was invited by the Government and Flying Services (GFS) to participate in the International Symposium on Emergency Response and Aeromedicine Services (ISERAS) 2026. The symposium is supported by the Security Bureau and it was held on 16th to 18th June at Kai Tak Sports Park and Dorsette Kai Tai. There was a Counter Terrorism (“CT”) Drill at GFS Kai Tak Division on the last day. It aims to promote international co-operation and knowledge exchange in the areas of emergency response and aeromedical services. Dr. CHENG Wendy, Dr. Kaiser Chiu, Dr. Sam Yang, Dr. Debbie So, Dr. Jerome So and Dr. Irene Lo represented HKSEMS to attend the symposium.
